Snow Day Maternity Session
There's something so special about maternity sessions for me. Capturing that beautiful connection between a mother and her baby before it is welcomed into the world. As moms, we have the privilege to form a strong and special relationship with our children way before anyone else.
Client - " Okay, hypothetically, if it snows big this week how would we feel about taking a few maternity pictures?"
Me - "Yes! I would love to!"
I can't believe it was a week ago that we braved the 7 degree temps for what turned out to be one of the most beautiful maternity sessions. I mean, look at the contrast in colors and how magical the soon-to-be mama looks in that snow!
This is my client’s second baby and she was on the fence about whether she wanted maternity photos this time around or not, and I'm so glad we went for it.
There's something so special about maternity sessions for me. Capturing that beautiful connection between a mother and her baby before baby is welcomed into the world. As moms, we have the privilege to form a strong and special relationship with our children way before anyone else. Our unborn baby consumes our thoughts (in a good way) because we can constantly feel it kick, our whole body has transformed to allow space for this blessing from God and as our unborn baby grows, our love for it grows as well. To me, this is what makes maternity sessions so special and important. To capture that bond between mother and baby before the baby even arrives.
I feel so grateful to be able to be a part of these moments and to capture the beauty and wonder of motherhood. It's truly a privilege.
PS - I am also scheduled to take this little boy's newborn photos in a few weeks and to say I am over the moon excited, would be a huge understatement.
